Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review month-end financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP. Prepare month-end balance sheet reconciliations.
• Post journal entries and ensure timely and accurate recording of financial transactions, including accruals, prepaids, and other necessary adjustments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify reporting needs, automate manual processes, and improve the overall efficiency of the accounting department using technology solutions.
• Provide actionable insights and recommendations based on financial data analysis to senior management and business leaders.
• Support the preparation of financial forecasts and annual budgets by analyzing historical financial trends and business performance.
• Ensure compliance with corporate financial policies, accounting regulations, and internal controls.
• Drive continuous improvement in accounting processes, leveraging technology to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting or finance roles
• In-depth knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and accounting principles.
• Experience with automation and process optimization in accounting functions is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present technical financial data to non-financial stakeholders.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Power BI for financial reporting and data visualization (building reports, dashboards, and automated workflows) is a plus
• Experience within a leadership or management role
• Experience in business intelligence tools and data integration.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, advanced formulas).
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, or similar).

Salary Range: $75,000 - $85,000/year
